Heyam Dukham Anagatam
Pain which has not yet come is avoidable.
The only suffering we can do anything about is that which has not yet occurred. Past pain or pain that is arising in the moment are unavoidable. How do we avoid suffering to come? Creating positive intentions in the present moment is a way we can avoid creating future pain. Intention is one of the aspects of yoga class I enjoy most. It helps us connect to our positive attitudes, feelings and truth so that we become habitual in our thoughts of the goodness thus creating positive momentum to take right action in the moment. Extending this positive intention to ourselves first and elevating our intention to others allows us to completely receive our intentions when we extend them toward others from a place of abundance.
