Zen translates to meditation and Yin is a quiet, passive yoga practice. This workshop offers an opportunity to bring peace and harmony to busy lives and active yoga practices. Yin Yoga will invite you to hold seated postures on the floor with relaxed muscles lending to the opening of the deep connective tissues of the hips, spine and shoulders. Yin yoga will help prevent loss of mobility and bone density while reducing popping of the joints and provide hydration. The meridians are subtle energy channels running through our connective tissue that correlate with the promotion of healthy liver, gall bladder, kidney, bladder, intestine, lung and heart functioning. This practice will also include information on the chakras and how they relate to a balanced mind, body and spirit.
