Freedom and Flight
The ability to stand on one's head or hands
teaches us how to stand on our own two feet.
This workshop is accessible to all as both the fundamentals and variations of arm balances, inversions, jump throughs and chakrasana (backward transition)
will be taught. Excite your spirit as your move your body through space with grace and ease. Find your balance as you explore your edge while keeping the mind
open, accepting and clear. We will work or core strength, bandhas, breath, drishti in a fun practice that will also help to regulate the nervous system.
Zen Yin
Zen translates to meditation and Yin is a quiet, passive yoga practice. This workshop offers an opportunity to bring peace and harmony to busy lives and active yoga practices. Yin Yoga will invite you to hold seated postures on the floor with relaxed muscles lending to the opening of the deep connective tissues of the hips, spine and shoulders. Yin yoga will help prevent loss of mobility and bone density while reducing popping of the joints and provide hydration. The meridians are subtle energy channels imbedded in our connective tissue that correlate with the promotion of healthy liver, gall bladder, kidney, bladder, intestine, lung and heart functioning. This practice will also include information on the chakras and how they relate to a balanced mind, body and spirit.
